Sahalie Falls.

Sahalie Falls.

Who doesn’t like to hike to a beautiful waterfall? I think almost everyone does, and Central Oregon is loaded with waterfalls, and many of them can be viewed with just a short hike. Tumalo Falls near Bend is always a favorite, and the Watefall Loop Trail to Sahalie and Koosah Falls along the McKenzie River is another favorite to locals, but there are so many other beautiful waterfall hikes in Oregon. Paulina Falls in the Newberry National Volcanic Monument is another of my favorites, and you can also take a side trip and hike the Big Obsidian Flow and drive up to the top of Paulina Peak on the same day!

So grab your favorite Hydration Pack or Hydro Flask and get out on the trail to view some of the beautiful waterfalls you can hike to in Central Oregon! And to be safer out there, here is a list of hiking tips and some of the essential items you should always have when out hiking.
